BMC Cements Commitment to Sustainability and Gender Equality with New Report

As part of their commitment to sustainability and corporate citizenship, BMC has published their corporate citizenship and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) impact report outlining their progress in these areas. 

BMC collaborates with UN Women and HeForShe to promote the importance of male allyship in advancing gender equity, especially within the tech ecosystem. They are also a signatory to the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), which offer guidance to businesses on advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment in the workplace, marketplace, and community.

BMC’s collaboration with HeForShe started in 2022 when BMC Software raised $72,000 USD for UN Women’s HeForShe initiative. These funds directly supported HeForShe’s mission and advocacy, promoting active youth involvement in support of gender equality and women’s empowerment. 

Their corporate citizenship and ESG impact report integrates the 10 principles of the United Nations (UN) Global Compact (GC) and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into their existing reporting processes to better understand, communicate, and demonstrate their contribution to the SDGs. By engaging in open and transparent dialogue with their stakeholders through ESG reporting best practices, they aim to continue improving their performance and creating positive impacts for all.
